Scottlee Resorts
Scottlee
Resorts is the group's leisure management division, responsible for
all operational aspects from design and build through to international
marketing.
The strategy of the Leisure Division falls broadly within NEPAD guidelines:
- To provide the African people with the capacity to be actively
involved in sustainable tourism projects at the community level.
- To prioritise consumer safety and security issues.
- To market African tourism products, especially in adventure
tourism, eco-tourism and cultural tourism.
The division directly employs over 250 people in its operations in
Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa. A further 200-300 will be engaged
during the development of the Mozambique properties and 300-400 are
forecasted to be taken on as staff when the projects are completed.
At Sanyati, an additional tourist activity of elephant riding is in
the planning stage, which will provide jobs for 6 direct employees
and a further 50 casual labourers during construction.
